Androscoggin Human Trafficking Collaborative Film Screening

On Tuesday, January 7th at 5 PM, join the Androscoggin Human Trafficking Collaborative for a screening of Sex Trafficking in America. This free, public program will take place in the Library’s Callahan Hall.
Sex Trafficking in America is a documentary by FRONTLINE and tells the unimaginable stories of young women coerced into prostitution and follows one police unit committed to rooting it out. In the film, award-winning director Jezza Neumann and producer Lauren Mucciolo embed with the Phoenix police unit that’s tackling child sexual exploitation, offering an inside look at the lucrative industry through unique access to a series of undercover, high-stakes police operations. They also film with young women who have escaped the trade.
The film is presented courtesy of FRONTLINE. FRONTLINE, U.S. television’s longest running investigative documentary series, explores the issues of our times through powerful storytelling. FRONTLINE has won every major journalism and broadcasting award, including 91 Emmy Awards and 20 Peabody Awards.
